These floats take over where the shouldered patterns leave off and they work really well in fast flowing water where you also need to fish a long way out. The bulbous tips of the floats are easy to see at distance, which is important when you are catching your fish 30 metres or more downstream from where you are sat. Shotting is kept simple and I recommend a strung out arrangement of No4's with a No6 on the hooklength.
